Blogging
Before this year, I had never had any experience with blogging. I had read a few blogs in the past, but not frequently, and I had certainly never written a blog post before. When I was assigned to write two blog posts a week, I was not sure how I would consistently find topics to write about, and how I would be able to write quality posts in so little time. However, over the course of the year, I have found that my writing has improved, as I have become accustomed to researching and crafting a substantial post in a limited amount of time. Through my blogs, I wrote about policies and issues facing the American Education system, I was able to analyze rhetoric found around campus and in the media, and I updated my fellow peers on advice and lessons I had learned as my first year of college progressed. Overall, I found blogging to be a great way to improve my writing and a good opportunity to research topics I did not know much about before I started.
